The dish is Carpaccio of beef. It was named after an italian painter, Vittore Carpaccio, who was famous for his love of deep reds.

Harry’s bar has long been frequented by famous people such as Ernest Hemingway, Charlie Chaplin, Alfred Hitchcock, Truman Capote, Peggy Guggenheim, and many other notable customers.
